Canadian Whisky
Introduction:
Canadian whiskeys are made from mixtures of different grains, the largest proportion of each brand in a puree which combines rye, corn and malted barley. Almost always contain some spirit, however, produced full of rye tasting more heavy, but usually less than one tenth of the final mix. As a result, have a reputation for being one of the lightest whiskey all classics even more than the Irish triple-distilled.
History:
The whiskey industry in Canada dates back only to the last century, when it emerged as a branch of agricultural production of grains. It was quite common in a time to pay the millers in kind with some of the grains, and the distillation has long been a traditional way of using surplus funds worldwide. The first producers — and, despite the country's size, there are still only a handful were Hiram Walker Seagram's and Corby, all in the province of Ontario.
The continuous process, huge column stills, distillation takes place. produced different spirits from different purees, or fermentation of different yeast strains are carefully blended by the distiller, before ripening in some cases, after the Furthermore, all the whiskey must be stored for at least three years in barrels, which are of new wood, but it is not noble tradition of old products in Canada that are 10, 12 even 18 years of age in the release. As elsewhere, the standard mixtures sold 40% ABV, but old specialty packaging can be a little harder.
The specialty of Canadian whiskey is that the regulations permit the addition of a small amount of other beverages, such as sherry or wine grapes or beverages made with other fruits. While this may account for no more than one hundredth of the finished product, making its presence felt in the fleeting suggestion of fruitiness in the flavors of some whiskeys.
Most of the distilleries are located in the eastern province of Ontario and Quebec. The label of leading Canadian Club Hiram Walker which was the first mixture in the 1880s and is supported by the Burke and ranges wisest McGuinness Silk Tassel Corby, Spas of Alberta and the Royal Crown of Seagram.
