4 Key Concepts to Church Interior Design
The churches are not exempt from elegant interiors. In fact, if we go back in history churches have been pioneers in the interior design. Of course, his style is often connected to a religious theme. Now, the design choices for churches can be divided into 4 specific and vital areas.
Apart from the obvious religious nature, churches are famous for their Stained Glass. They are one of the first things that come to mind when you think of a church. Back in the day, these beautiful pieces were stolen from churches often. Fast forward to today. The windows have become the pinnacle of the church interior design. If you are a Christian, then you know that every church has what is called the Stations of the Cross. These stations are prayer and meditation spots around the church depict the life of Jesus. Basically, you will each season, completing sentences, and then move to the next station. Since these stations are much visited by the community, I am sure that the church would not mind who designed correctly.
Stations can be as simple as a plate and as elaborate as a handmade sculptures. They do, after all, represent the life of Jesus and how he died to save humanity. The next time you visit a church, take note of the seasons. They are commonly along the walls temple, or sometimes on the pillars. The correct spacing of these stations also takes into account that there can be many parishioners in any given season.
Third is the altar. The altar is the center of the church interior design. It is commonly a marble top or layer on a concrete structure. Because some churches are not so rich, many of them with the modernization of different surfaces, which include a wooden structure. The altar is probably the most important piece in the church interior design. Many early churches only had these in the beginning. Now, part of the altar is a place called the tabernacle. The Tabernacle is a sacred place where the Eucharist is kept. It holds the ceremonial bread and wine to be used during the service. The taberacles are usually loaded with a velvet cloth of color around a wooden box. Sometimes churches do not get carried away and show booths golden. However, it is the most sacred in the church. It symbolizes the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The tabernacle is usually located behind the altar.
The other large and important piece of church interior design are the seats themselves commonly benches. A bank is a long bench that will have a padded kneeling at her feet. Churches usually do not have individual seats as banking has been be the norm in churches for centuries.
The final piece is the seats. The seats or benches in the church are called benches. Not only is the design of major banks, but the way the set plays a key role in the church interior design.
These four areas define the key concepts for the church interior design. They are tried and true methods that have not changed in centuries.
