I love pbr but then again I'm from the land of beer, Milwaukee WI … produced any another good …. hamms is good too ….
There are plenty of good beer in Michigan, like Bell. You're only a few hours drive, and can visit a brewery while you're there. If you want to take a vacay in New York from the city, trying their Brooklyn Lager. You should take a trip to Whole Foods Market: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/madison/index.html really focus on "local" products there, and if you visit his apartment in the specialty, can talk to an expert on wine and beer that will point you in the right direction. Usually have much variety. Good luck!
