What Type of German Beer is this ?
This is for Germans or German beer drinkers. I had a beer with a friend at a german tavern a couple years ago and it was sweet and a dark red color. it came in a small bottle that looked very much like a Wine Bottle with straw towards the bottom of the bottle wrapping around it.
I was wondering does anyone know what the name of this beer may be?

I think you had an the type “Altbier” from the area Niederrhein, this beer is red and sweeter than other kinds of beer. I don’t know which kind you had, but you should try Diebels or Hannen.
Well, in Germany there are more than 5,000 kinds of beer, so it will be difficult to tell what kind you exactly had.
