That is the best Belgian beer to complement a dish with a mussel?
Leffe (if you chose a Leffe blonde or brunette) or Duvel and WHY?
Duvel is really depends on how and how they prepare the mussels. Most of the people and indeed many cooks do not consider that the sauce has more impact on the choice of food and drink partners with the main dish itself. Duvel has good flavor balance that complements the mussels. Its almost sour (like wine) taste carries a malt sweetness and moderate humidity acid mixture that does not dominate the majority of mussel dishes.
