Where does the saying "Birds and the Bees" really?
I know what is the implication, but how it really start? For example: "Mind your P and Q". In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and room … So in old England, when customers is unruly, the bartender will yell at them "Mind your pints and quarts, and settle down." This is where we have the phrase "mind your P and Q"
The phrase is said to have originated from a folk tale, whose exact origin is unknown, which apparently became popular in South Africa (Namibia probably) around the turn the last century. It tells the story of a colony of bee-eater (Merops pusillus) of the birds lay their eggs after a meal of bees. Kamadeva Or possibly derived from the Hindu god of love that is accompanied by a selection of birds and bees at all times.
